| Information about our Pools |
Heated Swimming Pool Heating the pool relies on an uninterrupted supply of high voltage electricity, and the problem is that Turkish is blessed with Electricity power interruptions. We are having our own Electric substation constructed, however it's completion is taking longer than we expected. The power cuts do not effect the cleaning of the pools, only the heating, and we advice guests not to book a villa if having a heated pool is essential. The Heated Swimming Pool is available at the Villa Marcus. There is a separate charge for heating the pool and the heating may be arranged in advance or paid locally. The charges, payable in advance, to have the pool heated to a constant temperature of at least 23° from 10.00am to 5.00pm are: April and October: £400 a week. May and September: £300 a week. The charges, payable in advance, to have the pool heated to a constant temperature of at least 20° from 10.00am to 5.00pm are: April and October: £350 a week. May and September: £250 a week. |
Advance booking for Pool Heating must be made and paid for at least 14 days before departure Pool heating may be arranged locally as well, and the charge is based on the gas meter usage. There is a deposit of £500 payable where pool heating is provided locally. The heated pool makes Christmas and winter bookings much easier for guests. Sometimes in April and the end of October having just a little heat for the pool makes all the difference. However from November to March Heating is essential for guests wanting to swim in the pools. |
Pool Hygiene Pool hygiene is very important to us. The pools are large and very well equipped and maintained. This is because we understand the value of hygiene and quality. We know that a lovely well maintained pool adds both value to the let as well as enjoyment for our guests. The pools are constantly being refreshed with new water as much to keep it cool as to keep it clean. This is in addition to the very latest filters and chlorine etc. However we are happy to arrange a complete refill of the pools for clients. There is obviously a charge for this and it takes about 3 days which if the Villa was let before would mean no pool for the first 3 days of your stay. Sometimes, and very rarely, the pools may have to be closed and emptied. This has only ever happened at the Sultan Villa, which is a shared pool. The Heated Swimming Pool requires electric for heating and so may not be heated if there is a power failure. Again this is very rare but guests should be aware of it. |
Pool Privacy We respect the wishes of our guests to privacy, and we have had several bookings where the clients have insisted that nobody should be able to watch them swimming or sun bathing. The Sultan pool is shared and privacy is limited, although there are changing rooms and a shower and toilet. The pools at the Nesrin and Yesiloz Villa are very private. |
Pool Safety This is the responsibility of guests and in the case of children, their parents. No Pool is ever completely safe and we have 5 bits of advice: 1. No alcohol. 2. Never swim on your own. 3. Always keep children under direct supervision. 4. Do swim when advised not to (by doctor, or when pool is being cleaned/chlorinated). 5. do not run on the wet surfaces or indulge in horse-play. |
